The world have more than enough to offer us awesome summer hot spots. However, why go outside the United States, when the country itself has more than a long list of Classic Summer Vacations to offer. 

People tend to forget that the United States is one of the largest countries in the world. United States does not only offer a metropolitan oasis, but something that would stack up your vacation menu.

Without further explanation, here is a list of the top places to visit in the US:

Portland, Oregon

Besides being labeled as the Hipster Haven, Portland is known for its Forest Park and being ranked as one of the Best Foodie City in the Country. Interestingly, you would also find the world’s largest hippie library in this city and the world’s smallest park. If the following did perk your interest, do not worry you are not alone. This wonderful city would offer a great time for anyone wanting to spend some quality time this summer.

 

Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

National Parks can be overrated, but still it does not change the fact that they are still a great destination during summer (or basically any season). And one of the highly recommended national parks in the country is the Grand Teton National Park in North West region of Wyoming. It was estimated that around 2.5 million people visit the park annually. So, there is no question why Grand Teton is one of the most visited national park. 

Then what makes Grand Teton so attractive to visitors? Well, although a fully functioning airport is nearby, Grand Teton has able to preserve itself well. This National Park is embedded with rivers, canyons and endless mountains. Fauna and flora live peacefully in this place. Yellowstone National Park

Another famous and highly visited national park is the Yellowstone National Park. What makes Yellowstone so special is, it is the world’s first national park. This iconic national park is also known for its majestic grand canyon. Anyone who will visit the park will have their jaws dropped. The Yellowstone National Park is also the home of two endangered species: the Canada lynx and Grizzly bears. You are lucky if you were to get a glance of these animals. Cape Cod

Cape Cod is located in the east coast of the United States. It is particularly an active place during the summer months where all the shops and the activity centers are open. You may find the place familiar due to its infamous lighthouses. This means the area is basically by the sea. The oceanview is priceless as their Rail Trail. You can visit the latter if you enjoy biking, skating or horse riding. They also have various museums such as the Cape Cod Museum of Art. This place is perfect when you are going for a summer vacation with family. The place does not only offer a sunset cruise, but also dolphin watches. Who does not want to see dolphins nearby? Just think how much joy your kids will have once they get up close with this sea dwelling creatures.

Davenport, Florida

It is no question why a lot of people went to Davenport for summer vacations. Davenport is one of the areas with the closest proximity to Disney World. It is also offering cheaper rentals and inns than of Orlando. Almost no one will turn down the opportunity to visit Disney World. It’s like every child’s wish. However, do not be blinded by Disney magic. Davenport also has a lot to offer.
